SIV-01. Muhammad al-Muqrī: Kitāb al-anwā’

Nous présentons ici un poème en razaj qui fait partie d’un recueil de morceaux classiques autographié au Caire en 1897/1315 h.  par Gustave-Adolphe de Calassanti-Motylinski (Mascara 1854 ‒ Constantine 1907). Le texte fut édité en langue arabe et traduit en français par lʼorientaliste sous le titre Les mansions lunaires chez les Arabes, Alger : Imprimerie orientale, 1899.

Motylinslki lʼattribue à un certain MuÊammad al-Muqrī dont il nous dit ne posséder aucun renseignement biographique. Il évoque bien lʼauteur du NafÊ al-ðibb, à savoir AÊmad b. MuÊammad al-Maqqarī (1578-1632), mais pense que le poème est dû à un ðālib du Caire.

Cependant le fait que lʼérudit né à Tlemcen en 1578, sʼétablit en 620 au Caire où il mourut en 1632, pourrait bien nous faire revenir à lʼhypothèse que ce texte est de sa main. 

We present a poem in razaj which is part of a collection of classical pieces autographied in Cairo in 1897/1315 h. by Gustave-Adolphe de Calassanti-Motylinsli  (Mascara 1854 ‒ Constantine 1907). The text was edited in Arabic and translated in French by the orientalist under the title Les mansions lunaires chez les Arabes, Alger: Imprimerie orientale, 1899.

Though Motylinski  evokes the author of the NafÊ al-ðibb, i.e. AÊmad b. MuÊammad al-Maqqarī (1578-1632), he deems that this poem is due to a Cairo ðālib.

But the fact that the scholar born in Tlemcen in 1578 took up his residence in 620 in Cairo where he died in 1632: that could make us return to the hypothese that the text is due to him.

نقدم لكم هنا قصيدة من بحر « الرزج » مستقاة من ديوان أشعار كلاسيكية  كُتبت في القاهرة عام (1897 م/ 1215 هـ) ، وقد أوردها المستشرق جوستاڤ آدولف دو كلاسانتي موتيلنسكي (ماسكارا 1854 ـ القسطنطينة 1907) باللغة العربية مع ترجمتها الفرنسية في كتابه « منازل القمر عند العرب » المطبعة الشرقية/الجزائر، عام 1899.

 ينسب موتيلنسكي القصيدة إلى شخص يدعى بمحمد المقري مضيفاً بأنه لا يملك أي معلومات عن سيرته. إلا أنه يشير إلى صاحب كتاب  » نفح الطيب من غصن الأندلس الرطيب »، ويظن أن القصيدة تعود على الأغلب إلى طالبِ علمٍ في القاهرة.

وبما أن صاحب كتاب  » نفح الطيب من غصن الأندلس الرطيب » هو أحمد بن محمد المقري (1632 ـ 1578) الذي ولد في تلمسان عام 1578، ورحل إلى القاهرة  1620 حيث مات فيها في 1632، فبإمكاننا إذاً ترجيح  فرضية عودة نص القصيدة إليه.
